Ms. Doesn't Post A-lot

What a dreadful li'l blogger I am. I am a consummate crafter, like my friend, mmm, but I fail to take pictures and share them. Silly ol' me. But my latest creation amazes me. I found some vases on sale a few weeks ago for $2 each, and used my 40% off coupon to finally buy a bottle of glass etching cream. I used my darling Cricut to cut out some SCAL-designed phrases on vinyl, then adhered the vinyl to the glass, applied the etching cream, waited, rinsed, and... VOILA!!! They are so fabulous! I even stretched my imagination and designed a coffee mug that I found at WM ($2.49!!!) for a friend's birthday! I am really lusting after the $1.50 dinner plates and $1.00 salad plates they had there, too! I know the etched design is hard to see, but they are so pretty!!! I hope you like them.

A friend of mine from work is about to have a little baby girl, so I got out my patterns and made the baby a sleeper, hat, and woobie gift set. The embroidery was inspired by a Cricut icon from one of my cartridges; you can see that cut as the tag on the bag. The sleeper is soft white cotton rib, as is the hat. I made the card and the bag, too. I heard this morning that she really liked it, and that made me happy. Babies are so fun.

My Entry into the BBTB Challenge

Regina over at Bitten By the Bug hosts these awesome contests for paper crafters. I am taking the plunge and entering this little 2-4-6-8 box that I made from the 3D-Design's box. I don't expect to win, 'cause I don't have a lot of purty doo-dads, but I like it, and I think it will be spectacular with some orange and black tissue inside and filled with marzipan pumpkins!

Howdy

Well, the crafty mom has decided to create a crafty blog. Just settin' up, but I'll add more as time goes by.... Stay tuned!
